Earlier today, the Overwatch League announced that all remaining regular season matches will move to a fully-online format. As a result, live gatherings at homestand venues will no longer occur for the remainder of the regular season. This follows the previous cancellation of March and April live homestand events.
The Overwatch League decision means the Boston Uprising will no longer host homestand events on April 25-26 and June 27-28 at the Citizens Bank Opera House. We continue to fully support the Overwatch League’s decision to take precautionary measures against the coronavirus to keep fans and the general public safe during this time. Uprising players and staff will continue to follow the latest health and safety recommendations.
April homestand ticketholders have been contacted with information about ticket refunds and we are currently working to compile more information for our June homestand ticketholders who are now impacted. We will be in contact in the near future.
The Uprising play next against the Houston Outlaws at 6:00 PM on Saturday, April 11. We look forward to competing through the remainder of the 2020 season and thank our fans for their support and enthusiasm. We wish all OWL players, staff and fans good health during this time and eagerly await the next opportunity to connect in person when it is safe to do so.
