YGD and CCGD (Coal Creek Game Developers) are hosting a location spot for Ludum Dare 43 Game Jam at the Oak Hill Collaborative. This jam is completely free, so bring your snacks and be prepared for an overnight.

You are advised to bring your own computers and devices, but we will also be able to provide computers for you to use.

When is the Game Jam?

The Game Jam is from:

Friday, November 30th at 5 pm through Sunday December 2nd at 5 pm.

The theme will be announced at the beginning of the game jam.

About Ludum Dare

Ludum Dare is one of the world’s largest and longest running Game Jam events. Every 4 months, we challenge creators to make a game from scratch in a weekend.

Founded in April 2002, Ludum Dare is an online community best known for Ludum Dare Game Jam event. During Ludum Dare events, developers create games from scratch in a weekend based on a theme suggested by the community. Ludum Dare events take place every April, August, and December.

Ludum Dare Rules

The Jam is the Ludum Dare event for everyone. Teams, individuals, anyone that wants to come out and make something.

  • Work alone or in a team.
  • Create a game in 72 hours.

You’re free to use any tools or libraries to create your game. You’re free to start with any base-code you may have.

You’re free to use 3rd party Artwork/Music/Audio assets, or assets you previously created, but we ask that you OPT-OUT of the respected voting categories (Graphics, Audio). You can opt-out of a voting category when you submit your game.

We strongly recommend you only use assets that you have the legal right to use (Public Domain, things you licensed/created, etc). If you don’t have the right to use something, it is your responsibility.
