Total Average Score: 5.61/10
Square Enix is now the combination of two earlier publishing companies called Squaresoft and Enix. Both game publishing companies have developed high-quality role-playing games (RPGs) games for console and arcade development since the 1980s and 1970s, respectively. In the mid-2000s, during the economic recession, both companies had some financial struggles and merged to become Square Enix.
Their most popular games are the Kingdom Hearts, Final Fantasy, and Dragon Quest series of games with new releases and several re-releases for all types of consoles, including mobile devices, handheld games, and home gaming consoles.

Square Enix’s Marketing Techniques 2019
Square Enix YouTube channel is updated regularly. It mostly features gameplay and commercial promotion of the company’s games.
Most of Square Enix’s digital and print static marketing in 2019 involved E3 announcements and booths and some of their top games. The marketing revolved around the games’ top characters like Cloud and Iron Man.
It seems that most of their marketing is the same old tune, but if it works, why fix it?
Square Enix’s Historical Impact 2019
Square Enix, while new as a name, is the result of the merger of Squaresoft and Enix several years ago. Both companies have been around since the early console days of the game industry and prove year after year why they are such a great game producing company.

- Studio Istolia, headed by Hideo Baba, was closed May 15, 2019 and Project Prelude Rune canceled; staff of the project was reassigned
As far as the year 2019 goes, Square Enix did not really do anything. They closed a studio that was only open for a few years, and thankfully, it seems that no one was let go, just reassigned to new projects. We hope to see something great in 2020!
