Coal Creek Game Devs: Meetup

Coal Creek Game Developers

CCGD History

Coal Creek Game Developers is the Youngstown Community Group for Youngstown Game Developers. It was found in December 2014 as Youngstown Game Developers by Kendra Corpier and Bill Jones. Kendra became the Leader and hosted game jams, meetups, speech panels, and more to help the Youngstown Community grow within the game development industry.

The group grew so quickly, that in January 2018, Kendra stepped down as Leader and asked Alex Nischwitz, a Youngstown area native and fellow indie game designer, to take over as Leader so that she could focus on the development of the industry in the Youngstown area. The two decided to rename the community group to Coal Creek Game Developers and push for the website to represent the Youngstown gaming and game development community as a whole.
