NE Ohio ACM Chapter
This forum will discuss how AI will reshape the workplace of the future and as well as the purpose, process, and structure of our educational institutions in Northeast Ohio. The forum will include speakers and a four member panel addressing some basic questions:
How will it transform workers’ relationships with co-workers, co-robots and AI agents, and their work environment? Or will AI make a “Workless” future inevitable?
Is government or private industry best equip to address the societal, economic, and ethical concerns created?
Our main speakers will be Dr. David Staley, Futurist, and an associate professor in the Department of History at Ohio State University, and Dr. Sundar Vedantham, Director of Software Development working in the Datacenter Group (DCG) of Intel Corporation. Our panelists will include Cheryl Rice, Associate Vice Chancellor of the Higher Education Workforce Alignment for the Ohio Department of Higher Education, and Milind Paranjape, Director at JobsOhio for the information technology, logistics and distribution industries.
This event is free and open to the public. Parking is free and lunch will be available.
