Recap of May
May was a little more relaxing of a month for me. Got to focus on some more content for Youngstown Game Devs’ website and we are working towards developing a program to help indie game developers be more productive and have easier access to tools to help you make your games. So, May was a planning month.
Prepping for GDEx
The Columbus Game Developer Expo is a month earlier this month. If you plan on attending and want to share a room with YGD please sign up on this form. We will be checking into the hotel on Friday between 2 and 3 pm and checking out on Sunday morning before we head out to the expo floor. You will need to order your expo passes through GDEx. Read more about our plans for GDEx, here.
Coming Up in June
We have some fun stuff prepped for June!
This Saturday, we will be volunteering downtown and giving back to our community at Youngstown Cityscape 20th Annual Streetscape. Please join us to help plant some stuff in Y-town! We’ll also have our regular e-Center Meetup on June 8th and Code Youngstown’s Summer Meetup to network at the YBI on June 13th. And don’t forget to check out the Arcade Challenge with Bitter Hearts Game Club!
Wrapping it Up
I know I’ve been super busy working on a game and preparing some things for YGD, which are still TBA.
Keep an eye out for the cool programs we will be offering in the next coming months. We have some nice networking events and meetups this month. And don’t forget to sign up for GDEx and order your tickets on their website!
