Let’s Turn a Classic RPG into a Modern Generation Game!
Come join fellow game developers in playing and then re-imagining some classic games such as Super Mario RPG and Super Metroid.
This meetup will be a brainstorming exercise involving playing some classic RPG games and possibly other classic games from the SNES era and then flexing our game design muscles by analyzing them and updating their gameplay to appeal to modern audiences.
Game developers of all disciplines and experience levels are encouraged to attend. Afterwards, there will as always be time to discuss any difficulties or issues you may be facing or just to bounce questions off one another. So come out and join us for a fun afternoon of playing games, brainstorming, general networking and pizza.

Letter from the Organizer
Hello Youngstown Game Developers!
This month’s meetup is exciting! We are at a new place, at YSU’s McDonough Museum, in between Meshel and Bliss Halls, and across from the Butler Art Museum on Wick Ave. There is free parking behind the building (it’s a little hike, but not too bad) on N Walnut St.
At this meetup we will be playing some classic SNES games and discussing ways to convert them into modern generation games. We will have pizza for you to munch on, and we will have a raffle drawing for a digital download of the movie “Gameloading: Rise of the Indies” off of Steam, and another raffle drawing for the book “Empire of Imagination: Gary Gygax and the birth of Dungeons & Dragons”.
See you all there at 2:00 pm this Sunday!
Don’t forget to RSVP on the meetup page so we know how much pizza to bring!
